Eberhard Wachter(1929-1992), Austrian baritone, studied at the University of Vienna and Vienna Academy of Music, made his debut in 1953 at the Vienna Volksoper, then sang in Vienna State Oper, Covent Garden, Salzburg Festival and New York Metopolitan Opera. In 1987 he became the general manager of the Vienna Volksoper, and in 1991 he became the head of Vienna State Oper. He was known for Mozart, Wagner and Richard Strauss.

Franz Waxman(1906-1967), German/American composer of film scores, born in Germany and moved to US in 1935. In 1947 he founded the Los Angeles International Music Festival. He composed mainly for film scores, he received 12 Academy Award nominations, and winning two for "Sunset Boulevard" and "A Place in the Sun", other popular films are: Rebecca, Suspicion, Rear Window. His other well-known work is "Carmen Fantasie".

Carl Maria von Weber(1786-1826), German composer, the founder of German national opera of Romantic School, and perhaps a poineer in modern pianistic composition. He took lesson from Heuschkel and Michael Haydn, in 1813 he served as a conductor at Prague na dlater reorganized the Royal Opera in Dresden. He composed operas(Der Freischuts, Euryanthe, Oberon), orchestral and piano music.

After success of his 1-act opera "Der Protagonist", he has since composed highly versatile and ingenious modern stage works. From 1874-1877 he taught at the Brussels Conservatory. he composed 2 violin concertos, and violin pieces.
